Branch mix

Across cohorts, 100% of pilot homes use the water-heating branch, 82% use space heating, and 31% add drying or dehumid. The pool branch is always off until the household opts in — the branch is isolated at the manifold, not just the fixture.

As of Oct 2026 Across 112
live households

Five independent loads behind one managed bus.

Branches Each branch is physically isolated at the manifold. A fault on the pool loop never touches the water heater; a leak on space heating never contaminates domestic hot water. Branch-level, not fixture-level, isolation is the quiet guarantee that makes the platform maintainable.
01 Water

Domestic hot water

A 60-gallon buffer tank per household. Set-and-forget heat exchanger; the gas line stays as backup, nobody has lit theirs in 11 months.
02 Space

Hydronic space heating

Routed through existing baseboard or in-floor loops. Shoulder-season performance holds without a resistive assist down to 18°F.
03 Dehumid

Dehumidification + drying

Low-grade heat into the laundry dehumid and the dryer coil. Cuts dryer-cycle runtime by ~40% on the Birch Hollow cohort.
04 Pool

Pool, spa, hot tub

Opt-in branch, isolated at the manifold. One household's pool outage never cascades to another household's water heater.
05 Rejection

Controlled rejection to grade

When demand runs out, excess routes to a controlled rejection loop — never into the attic, never into the storm drain, never a dump load on the ground.
